Without a doubt, the paddle-boarding on Vis with Islomania has been the top SUP experience of my life and the highlight of my trip to Vis. The scenery is jaw-droopingly heart-stoppingly beautiful and there are many coves, quiet bays and inlets to explore such that a tour can be tailored to a beginners (weather permitting), as well as a stronger paddle-boarder looking for a long distance work out. There is so much to see and the water is inviting. Just drop in for a swim whenever you like. Lea and her family are delightful people and very knowledgeable about the area. Lea will advise you on where to go in order to take advantage of the wind and stay safe. I loved my experience so much that I went three times. Each time, I biked from Vis Town to Milna (which is a gorgeous and hilly ride). The first time, I went north towards Stiniva Cove, the famous secluded beach with emerald waters an a narrow fjord-like rock formation, accessible only by boat or via a very steep footpath. The second day, I went south to Stoncica Beach, a gorgeous sandy beach with a fantastic “domestic” restaurant (which uses local products) – great place for lunch before you get back on your board. The last day, I made a shorter trip to a lovely island in front of Milna with yet another great domestic restaurant in a wonderful lagoon. I then zipped over to Rukavac for a drink at Il Dalmatino (I don’t recommend the lunch but it’s got a gorgeous seafront location). I loved this experience so much, I am going back to Vis next month with a friend for more. If you enjoy paddle-boarding, I believe that this is the best way to see the island hands down. Lea and her family are a delight and they know the sea very well. Lea will advise you on a tour and direction so you can take advantage of the wind and weather to maximize your enjoyment and stay safe. SUPing on Vis is the experience of a lifetime and not to be missed.
