This summer we organised three workshops for the project No Plastic Vis. The workshops took place at the center of our association at the Milna Bay, at the public library Vis and at the Geopark Viski Arhipelag. Those who participated were mainly school children, those who live on the island, but also those who spend their holidays there.
The workshops consisited of two parts: the first one was educational lecture held by our member Katarina Barišić regarding disposable plastic and its negative impacts on the sea and the coastline.
Artist and painter Alma Čaće organised the second part. She instructed children how to express themselves through painting and drawing.
Those workshops showed how easy it is to explain children the problem of the plastic. Children’s works proved how successful those happenings were. After the workshops they were exibited at the public library Vis.
All the participants got canvas bags decorated with the pictures which were painted last year during workshop at the center of the association. Next year, the participants will get the bags with the pictures made this year.
